Where: Two Pitchers Brewing @ 2344 Webster Street in Oakland, a 10-minute walk from 19th Street BART. (Food from Lovely’s and non-alcoholic drinks are also available at the beer garden.)
What: Q&A + show & tell with Casey Rodarmor, the notorious rascal behind Ordinals. General socializing is also permitted.
Again, what? Casey devised a method of creating NFTs *ahem* digital artifacts on Bitcoin, which provoked reactions of rage and delight. Here’s an accessible high-level rundown.
For a dissection of the controversy, you’ll have to show up in person and ask Casey why the blazing laser eyes turned toward him. “Ordinals and inscriptions are a love letter to Bitcoin, the Internet, programming, and the World Wide Web,” sayeth Casey. Accordingly, someone uploaded Doom, because of course lol.
Meetup logistics: Day-of I will arrive early and post specific directions to a table within Two Pitchers, in the outdoor area if weather permits.
